Hi, I’m Maggie. I provide support for life’s marking moments, including your Big Day and all the ones leading up to it. I can’t wait to meet you!

I’m already cheering you on.

About Maggie

I’ve always been a wordsmith and a people person. This led me to a degree in writing followed by fifteen years in nonprofit communications. But my most life-giving moments have been sitting knee to knee with someone—not fixing anything, just offering compassion and an empathetic witness.

In order to do more of that work and do it better, I am attending seminary and considering a future in either chaplaincy or pastoral ministry. I get lots of practice between my church work and my work with couples.

I spend a lot of time speaking to congregations and am quite at home in front of a crowd. Planning a bilingual wedding? I can help—I officiated my very first wedding in both English and Spanish!

What is Prepare/Enrich?

I like to say Prepare/Enrich is more in-depth than a magazine quiz, less intense than a personality test. It’s a tool designed to help couples define their strengths and growth areas.

How it works: I send you and your partner a link to the online inventory, you answer the questions separately, and then we get together over a few sessions to discuss the results.

The good gift of Prepare/Enrich is the space it carves out for you and your partner to have important conversations and build skills that will serve your relationship.

P.S. Ask me how I can get you a discount on your marriage license in the state of Minnesota!

FAQs

  • I am, yes, but if you’re not, that’s okay. Regardless of the faith you practice, we’ll work together to create a wedding ceremony that is a true representation of your relationship, not my beliefs. Prepare/Enrich is not religious in nature, although spirituality is a topic of discussion as it pertains to your relationship.

I am also LGBTQIA+ affirming. Full stop.

  • Absolutely! Maybe you’ve been referred to me by the person officiating your wedding, or you’re already married and looking for a relationship check-up. We’ll discuss your inventory responses over a series of 4 sessions. Scroll down to Services to learn more.

  • You bet—no AI or ChatGPT here! I’ll work with you to write a unique ceremony based on what matters most to you and your partner. I can share examples of readings and vows for inspiration, but we’ll customize it just for you.

  • Scroll down to Services for my offerings and fees. I’m also willing to work with you if there are budget constraints.

  • I’m always working toward fluency, but my very first wedding was in both English and Spanish. If you're having a bilingual wedding, I can help!
