Hi, I’m Maggie.

Maggie Keller Headshot

I’ve always been a wordsmith and a people person. This led me to pursue an English writing degree and spend 10 years working in communications. But my most life-giving moments have been sitting knee to knee with someone—not fixing anything, just offering compassion and bearing witness to their experiences.

In order to do more of that work and do it better, I plan to attend seminary and discern whether chaplaincy or pastoral ministry is best for me. In the meantime, I enjoy supporting and celebrating people in other ways—like weddings!

Prior to our 2011 wedding, my husband Jon and I completed Prepare/Enrich together. On the inventory, we had different responses to the question about kids. One person wanted 2-3, one person wanted 4 or more…and we ended up with 4 in short succession. They are a loud, joy-filled bunch and we love living in the Powderhorn neighborhood of South Minneapolis.

I’ve been a part-time working mom, a stay-at-home mom, and a pandemic distance-learning mom, but it has always been a full-time job, no matter what other hats I have worn. I love to support other parents on the same journey and have a special interest in birth and breastfeeding (I want to be a doula someday)! For fun, I like to research genealogy and property history.

FAQs

  • I am, yes. If you’re not, that’s okay, too. Regardless of the faith you practice, we’ll work together to create a wedding ceremony that is a true representation of your relationship—not my beliefs. Prepare/Enrich is not religious in nature, though spirituality is a topic of discussion as it pertains to your relationship.

  • Yes. Full stop.

  • Prepare/Enrich is a relationship assessment tool intended for couples at any stage of their relationship but often recommended to engaged couples for premarital counseling.

Couples complete the online inventory separately then come together with a licensed facilitator (me!) to talk through responses, build on strengths, and identify growth areas.

The good gift of Prepare/Enrich is the space it carves out for you and your partner to have conversations that matter, which may not come up in day-to-day life. You’ll build skills that will serve and strengthen your relationship for years to come.

  • Absolutely! Maybe you’ve been referred to me by the pastor who is officiating your wedding—or you’re already married and looking for a relationship check-up. We’ll discuss your inventory responses over a series of 4 sessions (up to 8 if you want a deeper dive). See Services for more.

  • You bet—no AI here! I’ll work with you to write a unique ceremony based on what matters most to you and your partner. I have many examples of readings, vows, etc. to draw from but we’ll customize it just for you.

  • Yes. Head over to services to see what I offer. I’m also willing to work with you if there are budget constraints.
